Position: DV/SA Programs Coordinator

Location: Mammoth Lakes, CA
Pay Range: $26.25-$32.55
Job Type: Full-time, hourly, non-exempt
Benefits: Employee retirement with employer contributions, medical insurance, paid holidays, vacation, bilingual pay differential, and sick accruals. (Benefits available after successful completion of 60-day waiting period.)
Job Description:
Provides direct client services and supervises Advocates and Direct Service Volunteers providing services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in compliance with grant and legal requirements throughout Inyo and Mono Counties. Provides supervision to Transitional Housing staff. May work from home if scheduled outside of normal office hours. This is not a mandated reporting position. Reports to DV/SA Programs Director.

Required:

High School diploma or equivalency.

Bilingual and biliterate – English and Spanish
-
Ability to implement training and teaching methods for training domestic violence and sexual assault crisis intervention counselors.
-
At least one year of experience in management and/or supervision.
-
At least two years of experience delivering direct client services.
-
Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
-
Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
-
Ability to use a computer and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Willingness to learn industry specific software.
-
Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
-
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-
Ability to work with minimal supervision in both individual and team settings.
-
Knowledge of professional office practices including proper conduct and dress.
-
Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
-
Ability to work well under pressure and deal appropriately with crisis and stress situations.

Willing to undergo to a live scan background check.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field or equivalent life experience
-
Two years of experience with a similar agency performing similar or transferable duties

Completed Wild Iris training or approved equivalent and be eligible for certification as a Rape Crisis and Domestic Violence Counselor pursuant to California Evidence Code, Article 8.7, Section 1037.1

Essential Job Duties:

Supervise and evaluate direct reports.
-
Participate in interviews and provide feedback on hiring and staffing decisions.
-
Provide training to staff and volunteers.
-
Oversee the maintenance of accurate client records, documentation, data collection, reports and forms as required by grants and Agency policy in collaboration with the DV/SA Programs Director.
-
Coordinate scheduling of direct service staff and volunteers.
-
Collaborate with referral agencies and provide professional training.
-
Coordinate the Transitional Housing application process, case management services, and resident move-ins/move-outs.
-
Serve as back up for the DV/SA Programs Director in their absence.
-
Coordinate provision of support groups, youth violence prevention programming, community outreach events, and educational events and presentations on domestic violence, sexual assault, and Wild Iris services.
-
Coordinate mandated reporting of child, dependent adult, and elderly abuse or neglect per California Penal Code Section 11165.7.
-
Coordinate agency multidisciplinary team meetings.
-
Coordinate and provide direct services to primary and secondary survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
-
Available to work after-hours shifts on 24-hour crisis line and respond in person to law enforcement and hospitals.
-
Coordinate and provide culturally sensitive services and work with representatives of under-served communities in our service area.
-
Maintain accurate client records, documentation, data collection, completion of reports and forms as required by law, grantors, and Agency policy.
-
Adhere to the policies, procedures, and guidelines of the agency including representing the agency in a professional manner and maintaining the highest standard of confidentiality.
-
Rape Crisis and Domestic Violence Counselor certified pursuant to California Evidence Code, Article 8.7, Section 1037.1; participate in ongoing training to maintain certification. This training is provided by Wild Iris.

Attend meetings and provide supervision and office coverage as needed in Inyo and Mono Counties.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Provides crisis intervention services during and outside of regular office hours to clients who have been affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. May work from home if scheduled outside of normal office hours. This is not a mandated reporting position. Reports to DV/SA Programs Coordinator.

Respond to walk in clients or hotline phone calls needing immediate assistance with issues relating to domestic violence and sexual assault.

Provide crisis intervention services for persons directly or indirectly experiencing domestic violence and sexual assault.

Respond to hospital and law enforcement calls to assist victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
-
Provide Emergency Protective Order (EPO) and Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) assistance in Inyo and Mono Counties.
-
Available to work after-hours shifts on 24-hour crisis line.

Collaborate with referral agencies and provide professional training.

Provide Safe Haven services and other emergency support to survivors.

Maintain accurate client records, documentation, data collection, and completion of reports and forms as outlined in grant requirements and Agency policy.

Complete all documentation required by law, grantors, and agency policies.

Provide office coverage as needed at offices in Inyo and Mono Counties.
-
Maintain accurate time keeping records in accordance with state and federal labor laws.
-
Adhere to the policies, procedures, and guidelines of the agency including representing the agency in a professional manner and maintaining the highest standard of confidentiality.

Participate in community outreach and education events as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.
